E. Boyd -Bedspread Sneakers
E. Boyd (1903–1974) was an American artist, author, and historian best known for her work documenting and preserving Spanish Colonial and folk art traditions in New Mexico. As part of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) during the 1930s, she created detailed studies of regional textiles, furniture, and devotional art. Boyd’s dedication to cataloging traditional craftsmanship helped elevate New Mexican decorative arts to national recognition. Beyond her visual work, she authored influential texts that remain key references in the study of Southwestern American folk art.
