  • Julie de Graag (1877–1924) was a Dutch artist known for her striking Art Nouveau and Art Deco-inspired woodcuts, illustrations, and decorative designs. Her work often featured bold lines, intricate patterns, and stylized natural forms, with a focus on animals, plants, and geometric motifs.

A student of the Hague Academy of Art, de Graag was influenced by the Jugendstil movement and was associated with the De Stijl group. Her monochromatic woodcuts are particularly celebrated for their precision and expressive detail. Despite her immense talent, her career was cut short due to health struggles, but her artistic legacy remains significant in Dutch graphic design and printmaking.
