Verneuil drew inspiration from Japanese art and nature, particularly marine life. His work transitioned into the Art Deco period, featuring acclaimed geometric patterns. He collaborated with artists like Toulouse-Lautrec and Alfons Mucha, contributing to numerous posters in France. Later in life, he traveled to the Far East, visiting countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, and Japan, which further influenced his artistic style.
